First Officer
Position Overview
The First Officer is entrusted with the paramount responsibility of ensuring the safe and efficient ground and in-flight operations of the aircraft. A highly competent First Officer consistently elevates customer experiences by fostering clear and effective communication with leadership, team members, and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Administratively reports to the Chief Pilot.
- Holds primary responsibility for the safe and efficient ground and in-flight operation of the aircraft.
- Proactively anticipates customer needs and diligently strives to exceed expectations.
- Ensures strict compliance with all FAA regulations, the company's General Operations Manual (GOM), Operational Specifications, and adheres meticulously to department operating procedures.
- Maintains seamless communication and coordination with assigned crew, dispatch, maintenance, and administrative personnel.
- Undertakes additional duties as assigned by management or senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1,000 hours of Fixed Wing Total Time.
- 500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) Total Time.
- Possesses a valid and unexpired US Passport.
- Holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Multi-Engine/Instrument Rating.
- Possesses a valid FCC Radio License.
- Maintains a current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrates exceptional ability to communicate effectively.
- Is eligible to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restrictions.
- Exhibits the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and a willingness to embrace new challenges as the company expands.
- Resides within a 2-hour radius of KLAS or one of Thrive Aviation's remote Crew Bases.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1,500+ hours of Fixed Wing Total Time.
- 50+ hours of Multi-Engine Time.
- 500 hours of Total Turbine Time.
- Possesses an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Previous experience in Corporate Aviation or Part 135 Charter operations.
- Holds a current type rating for aircraft within our fleet.
Physical and Work Environment
The role necessitates the ability to maintain a seated position for extended periods within confined spaces. Employees will interact with customers and fellow flight crew members in close quarters. Travel may require extended periods away from home weekly, and work hours may be irregular, with potential for short-notice flight assignments or cancellations. Maintaining a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate is a mandatory requirement for this position.
