First Officer
The First Officer holds primary responsibility for the safe and efficient ground and in-flight operations of the aircraft. This role requires a professional who consistently exceeds customer expectations while maintaining clear and effective communication with leadership, team members, and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reports administratively to the Chief Pilot.
- Primarily accountable for safe and efficient aircraft operations on the ground and in the air.
- Anticipates and strives to exceed customer needs and expectations.
- Ensures strict compliance with FAA regulations, company General Operations Manual (GOM), Operational Specifications, and adherence to departmental operating procedures.
- Maintains effective communication and coordination with assigned crew, dispatch, maintenance personnel, and administration.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management or senior leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1,000 hours of Fixed Wing Total Time.
- Minimum of 500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) Total Time.
- Possession of a current, unexpired US Passport.
- Holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
- Possession of an FCC Radio License.
- Holds a current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- Eligible to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restrictions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willingness to embrace new challenges as the company expands.
- Must reside within a two-hour commute of a major airport.
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to the minimum requirements):
- 1,500+ hours of Fixed Wing Total Time.
- 50+ hours of Multi-Engine Time.
- 500 hours of Total Turbine Time.
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Previous experience in Corporate Aviation or Part 135 Charter operations.
- Holds a current type rating for aircraft within the company fleet.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must meet specific physical demands necessary to successfully perform the required duties. This includes maintaining and holding a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate. The role requires the ability to maintain a seated position in a confined space for extended periods.
Work Environment:
The work environment for a Flight Crew position involves typical characteristics of aviation operations. The role primarily involves sitting for long periods during flight. The employee will interact closely with customers and other flight crew members in a small, confined space. The position requires the ability to spend multiple days or weeks away from home weekly. Employees should be prepared for irregular hours and potential notification of flights or cancellations with minimal notice.
