First Officer - Aviation
Position Summary
As a First Officer, this role holds primary responsibility for ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of ground and in-flight aircraft operations. The successful candidate consistently exceeds customer expectations while fostering clear and effective communication channels with leadership, fellow team members, and dispatch personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting administratively to the Chief Pilot, the First Officer is primarily responsible for safe and efficient aircraft operations. Key duties include:
- Proactively anticipating customer needs to deliver exceptional service.
- Strictly adhering to FAA regulations, company General Operations Manual (GOM), Operational Specifications, and departmental procedures.
- Maintaining diligent communication and coordination with the assigned flight crew, dispatch, maintenance, and administrative teams.
- Undertaking other duties as directed by management or senior leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1,000 hours of total fixed-wing flight time.
- 500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) total time.
- A valid, unexpired US Passport.
- Possession of a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings.
- An FCC Radio License.
- Holding a current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- Eligibility to operate aircraft internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restrictions.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and embrace new challenges as the company expands.
- Residency within a two-hour radius of a major airport.
Preferred Qualifications:
Desired experience, in addition to minimum requirements, includes:
- 1,500+ hours of total fixed-wing time.
- 50+ hours of multi-engine time.
- 500 hours of total turbine time.
- An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Previous experience in Corporate Aviation or Part 135 Charter operations.
- A current type rating for aircraft within the company's fleet.
Physical Requirements
The role requires meeting specific physical demands to successfully execute duties. A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate must be held and maintained. The First Officer must be capable of remaining seated in a confined space for extended durations.
Work Environment
The Flight Crew position operates within a unique environment. The primary duty involves extended periods of sitting. The First Officer will interact closely with customers and fellow flight crew members within the confined space of the aircraft cabin. This role requires significant time away from home, potentially spanning several days or weeks per week. The schedule is subject to irregularity, including receiving little notice for flight assignments or cancellations.
