Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa is seeking a certified Fitness Instructor to lead engaging fitness classes and provide personalized training sessions for guests. This role offers the opportunity to create a fun and rewarding fitness experience within a prestigious spa environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, professional fitness classes and personal training sessions in alignment with spa protocols and certification standards.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of fitness equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked fitness area.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all spa fitness offerings and educate guests accordingly.
- Execute administrative duties with completeness, organization, and accuracy.
- Actively promote spa services, treatments, retail products, programs, and promotions.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay informed about current spa trends and new products.
Basic Qualifications
- National certification in fitness instruction/personal training (e.g., ACE, NASM, NSCA, ACSM) OR an Associate's degree or higher in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and excellent guest service skills.
- Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to confidently apply service recovery methods.
- Proactive in anticipating guest needs.
- Previous experience in a Spa or Hotel environment is preferred.
- Previous experience handling difficult or sensitive situations independently is preferred.
- Knowledgeable about the Resort and surrounding area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language is preferred.
Additional Information
Schedule Availability: Part-Time. Requires availability for two full days per week, including one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Immediate availability for up to four weeks for training purposes is necessary.

Pay Rate: $16.25 per hour, plus commission and gratuities. Select benefits may be provided, dependent on position and level.
