The Boeing Company is seeking an F-15 Mission Systems International Software OFP Captain to lead software development for F-15 International programs in Berkeley, MO. This role involves leading engineering teams through the development, testing, and maintenance of Operational Flight Program (OFP) software for the F-15 aircraft's Mission Computer.
About the Role
The Mission Systems Software Team is responsible for developing real-time embedded Operational Flight Program (OFP) software that interfaces with various avionics subsystems and implements critical algorithms for the F-15 aircraft. This position will specifically focus on international program efforts, overseeing the technical design and delivery of software products. Key responsibilities include coordinating with program management, suppliers, and other Boeing teams, providing technical guidance, and leading the engineering team through all phases of the software development lifecycle, including development, lab testing, and flight testing. The role requires leading code development, integration of complex software components, and ensuring software verification and validation to meet system requirements.
Requirements

Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship.

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering, science, or computer science related field.

7 years of experience in embedded real-time software development.

Experience in fixed-wing fighter aircraft software development.

Experience with object-oriented software development.

Experience leading using the Agile Software Development or SAFe paradigm.

Experience with Ada, C/C++, Python, GIT, JIRA, BitBucket, VxWorks, OpenGL, and DOORS is highly desirable.

Must satisfy the company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, requiring U.S. Person status.
Responsibilities

Lead the development, documentation, and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.

Lead the development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.

Lead the development of software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, executing tests, and documenting results.

Provide technical leadership for software projects and lead software supplier management activities.

Lead the development, selection, tailoring, and deployment of processes, tools, and metrics.

Lead the execution and provide triage information for each release of Mission Systems Software (MSW) products.

Lead the execution and support of CI/CD testing efforts.

Support software project management and software supplier management functions.

Perform software research and assist with trade studies.

Troubleshoot complex software issues.

Create and manage CDRL Deliveries.
