Aviation Captain - Fixed Wing Aircraft

Role Overview:

The Aviation Captain will assume responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, specifically a Citation X and Citation X+, while adhering strictly to all applicable regulations, company policies, and aircraft flight manuals. This individual must be a self-starter, an exemplary team player, and possess a strong commitment to professional excellence. The Captain will contribute to the company's mission to shape the future of flight.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Captain or Co-Captain on Bell Textron, Textron Systems, and Textron aircraft.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all assigned aircraft.
  • Maintain current qualifications and proficiency on assigned aircraft.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all relevant equipment and government regulations affecting flight operations.
  • Operate aircraft in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlined in company manuals and all legal requirements.
  • Actively participate in the company's Safety Management System (SMS), prioritizing safety at all times.
  • When serving as Captain, supervise other pilots, or contract pilots when necessary, upholding high standards of morale and professionalism.
  • Foster a positive work environment through excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for improvement, supporting the team's success.
  • Coordinate with leadership regarding scheduling for training, vacation, and other time off.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work irregular schedules as required.
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Be receptive to further career advancement opportunities within Textron business units.
  • Fulfill other assigned duties and special projects, with occasional time in the office environment as flight schedule permits.

Qualifications:

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate/Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine)
  • Current First-Class FAA Medical Certificate or the ability to obtain one prior to start.
  • Proven experience as a flight crewmember, demonstrating practical knowledge of FAR Part 91 or FAR Part 135 operations.
  • A minimum of 3000 Total Fixed Wing Flight hours.
  • A minimum of 1500 Multi-Engine Turbo Jet Flight Hours.
  • A minimum of 1000 Multi-Engine Turbo Jet Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Flight Hours.
  • Experience in corporate flight operations.
  • Knowledge of Safety Management System implementation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years' experience as a Captain in a Corporate Flight Department.
  • Previous leadership experience in a Corporate Flight Department or a strong desire to assume a leadership role.
  • 6000 hours of Multi-Engine Turbo Jet Hours.
  • 3000 hours of Multi-Engine Turbo Jet PIC Hours.
  • International flight experience.
  • A proven record of success and development in the Corporate Aviation Function.
  • Type Rating on CE-750, or similar aircraft.
