Job Summary

The Pilot Development Program participant will inspire general aviation's most iconic aircraft journeys globally by sharing expert product knowledge and operational experiences. This role involves collaborative crew work to design and deliver exceptional aviation experiences for customers and the community. The position fosters continuous growth in professional and technical skills as the individual's career progresses within Textron Aviation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold Textron Aviation's core values to contribute to the collective mission and vision.
  • Serve as a flight and ground instructor for customer entitlement training in piston aircraft fleets.
  • Conduct exercise flights and flight shadowing during sales demonstration flights and marketing support activities.
  • Operate company and customer aircraft worldwide, adhering strictly to all applicable FAA and ICAO regulations, as well as local operating procedures.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of relevant aircraft models, systems, avionics, equipment, product updates, and changes.
  • Successfully complete required training, including initial and recurrent aircraft training, emergency procedures, crew coordination, international procedures, and other management-directed programs.
  • Perform essential office tasks such as preparing expense reports and flight logs, international trip planning, updating flight manuals and approach plates, and other duties inherent to daily flight operations.
  • Adhere to and actively support Flight Operations policies, procedures, guidelines, and responsibilities.
  • Communicate noteworthy operational issues to department personnel and ensure awareness.
  • Prioritize safety as the paramount consideration in all flight operations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Science or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 800 flight hours and 400 hours of dual given instruction are required.

Skills and Certifications:

  • A valid US Passport or the ability to obtain one successfully is mandatory.
  • FAA Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) rating is preferred.
  • FAA Complex and High-Performance endorsements are preferred.
  • Previous experience as a classroom ground instructor is preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital/glass flight decks is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Possession of an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument rating and Single/Multi-Engine Land ratings is required.
  • An FAA Second Class medical certificate or better, with the ability to obtain an FAA First Class medical, is required.
  • An FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI) and FAA Flight Instructor Instrument Certificate (CFII) are required.
