Job Description
The Aviation Instructor will deliver approved curriculum, content, and assessments, facilitating engaging activities and discussions tailored to diverse learning styles with targeted guidance and mentorship. Responsibilities include interpreting and administering assessments, providing constructive feedback to support student growth, and integrating technology to enhance educational experiences. Faculty members serve as ambassadors for their programs and TSTC.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate student learning.

Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans.

Organize daily classes utilizing creative and innovative techniques.

Fulfill assigned schedules and maintain accurate student records.

Maintain a safe instructional environment with emphasis on equipment security.

Provide student advisement with timely, accurate, and comprehensive information.

Collaborate with the Office of Student Success to enhance student retention.

Participate in recruitment events and assist with program planning for recruitment.

Required Qualifications
-
Experienced pilot with 1500+ flight hours.
-
Minimum 3 years of industry experience as a Commercial Pilot, Transport Pilot, or Military Pilot.

FAA Certified Flight Instructor/Instrument, with demonstrated competency to instruct Instrument ground and up-to-date knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements.

Willingness and ability to mentor and perform training at or above FAA standards, with a strong emphasis on maintaining the highest safety standards.

Competency in regulatory requirements for Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and CFI certifications.

Strong interpersonal communication skills and professionalism.

Commercial Pilot License and current Certified Flight Instructor Certification.
Preferred Qualifications

Five years of industry experience.

Current Medical, MEI, AGI, IGI, and UAS certifications.

Demonstrated high level of Aeronautical Decision Making skills.

Competency in Aircraft systems and aeronautical knowledge.

Flexibility to meet industry needs and FAA regulatory changes.
Education and Experience
Verifiable and demonstrated experience is required.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range starts at $78,520, with a mid-point of $90,000+.

Eligible for an additional $6,000 annually in semester retention bonuses.

Work Environment
This position is Waco-based and requires on-site presence Monday-Friday. Generous benefits and time off are provided.
