Flight Crew Rostering & Training Team Lead
to join its operational team. This pivotal role involves leading the cockpit crew planning and training functions, ensuring efficient and compliant rostering for flight personnel within a dynamic airline environment.
About the Role
As the Flight Crew Rostering & Training Team Lead, you will be instrumental in the strategic and operational management of cockpit crew resources. This position demands a leader who can navigate complex regulatory frameworks while fostering team development and process optimization within the TUIfly airline operation.
Responsibilities

Provide disciplinary and professional leadership to the Cockpit Crew Planning & Training team, including employee evaluation, development, and comprehensive resource management (e.g., holiday, part-time planning, appraisals, target agreements).

Oversee the flight program in relation to crew deployment plans, ensuring strict adherence to flight duty and rest times, legal and collective bargaining agreements, standard operating procedures, and company policies.

Guarantee the effective implementation of Fatigue Risk Management and comprehensive training within all cockpit personnel rosters.

Manage the planning of cockpit personnel for an assigned station and provide team representation as required.

Collaborate closely with the Manager Crew Planning, Cabin Crew Rostering & Training Team Lead, and Fatigue Officer Crew Planning, and deputise for leadership within the Crew Planning department.

Conduct preparatory work and evaluations for committee meetings, potentially participating as a subject matter expert.

Execute and contribute to various projects, including potential project leadership responsibilities.

Engage in proactive coordination and information exchange with the Manager Crew Planning regarding daily deployment challenges and trends.

Develop analytical recommendations to enhance the efficiency of deployment planning and operational processes.

Review and ensure the continuous update of all Crew Planning work instructions and manuals in cooperation with the Team Lead Cabin Crew Rostering & Training.

Prepare for and facilitate necessary audits.

Initiate, develop, and optimize processes and workflows, including those that span across departments.
Requirements

Demonstrable experience in Flight Crew Planning or a comparable operational field is essential.

Possess a rapid grasp of complex information combined with strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.

Exhibit a structured, goal-oriented work approach and excellent organizational skills.

Proficiency in MS 365 Office applications is required, with additional knowledge of Amadeus being advantageous.

Initial experience in project work, ideally including experience as a project leader.

Fluent spoken and written German and good English language skills.

Willingness to work shifts during agreed operational exceptional situations.
