The Role of a First Officer B787

As a First Officer, the successful candidate will assume significant responsibilities, actively contributing to the safe and efficient operation of Boeing 787 flights. Requirements for this Aviation Career Opportunity

Prospective candidates for the First Officer B787 position are required to meet the following stringent criteria:

  • Possession of an unrestricted and valid EASA (frozen) ATPL license.
  • Holding a valid EASA Medical Class 1 certificate.
  • Eligibility for Zero Flight Time Training (ZFTT) on the B787 in accordance with FCL.730.A, if not currently type-rated on the Boeing 787.
  • A minimum of 500 hours flight time or 100 route sectors on a multi-pilot turbo-jet aeroplane certificated to CS-25 standards or equivalent, OR on a multi-pilot turbo-prop aeroplane with a maximum certificated take-off mass of not less than 10 tonnes or a certificated passenger seating configuration of more than 19 passengers.
  • An EU/EEA passport valid for at least 6 months from the scheduled training start date.
  • Legal right to live and work in The Netherlands without restrictions.
  • Ability to successfully pass aviation security background checks and meet all EU regulatory requirements for flight crew clearance. Candidates without long-term residence or work rights in the EU may find their eligibility impacted.
  • Ability to report to the Schiphol base within 60 minutes when assigned standby duty.
  • Fluent proficiency in English, demonstrated by a minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency level 5.

Important Operational Information: While there are no geographical restrictions on where First Officers can reside, it is imperative to be able to reach Amsterdam Schiphol Airport within 60 minutes when rostered for standby duty for TUI fly Netherlands. The flight roster will vary significantly, with no fixed pattern, and commuting contracts are not offered.
