An opportunity is currently available for a qualified and experienced Captain to join the team, operating the Lear 45 aircraft. Reporting directly to the Chief Pilot, the Captain is entrusted with the proficient and safe operation of the aircraft and carries out essential duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to those listed below.

Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

The Lear 45 Captain holds responsibility for the proficient and safe operation of the Lear 45 aircraft. This role encompasses performing all required duties associated with the aircraft's operation and strictly adhering to all safety regulations in accordance with company requirements, Transport Canada standards, and Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs). The Captain is also expected to execute any additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Pilot or Deputy Chief Pilot.

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and demonstrate relevant competencies. Personality profiling may be required for candidates granted an interview.

• Must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
• Requires a valid Instrument Rating.
• A valid Type Rating for the Lear 45 is required if applicable to the candidate's licence.
• A minimum of 3,500 hours Total Flight Time is mandatory.
• Requires a minimum of 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
• Requires a minimum of 2,000 hours Multi-Engine time.
• Requires a minimum of 1,500 hours Multi-Engine PIC.
• Requires a minimum of 200 hours jet time.
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience on the Lear 45 aircraft.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service abilities are essential.
• Must possess strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Exhibit good organizational and time management skills.
• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to adhering to the safety accountabilities as outlined in Sunwest’s Safety Management System manual.
