Sunwest Aviation is seeking a full-time Captain for its XLS56 aircraft in Toronto, Ontario. This role involves operating as a Captain with a 24-hour call-out roster, reporting to the Chief Pilot. Sunwest Aviation is a leading operator of charter aircraft with extensive experience and a commitment to safety.

About the Role

The Captain will perform all duties and responsibilities associated with the specified aircraft, adhering strictly to safety regulations from Transport Canada and CARs. The position operates under a 24-hour call-out schedule, requiring pilots to remain available during days off until activated for a trip, with briefs provided at least 24 hours in advance. Shorter-notice trips are possible with additional call-out pay, and pilots must regularly check for trip briefs via mobile phone or email.

Requirements

• Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), ICAO.
• Valid instrument and type rating (if required for the aircraft grouping).
• Current Pilot Proficiency Check (PPC) and currency for the applicable aircraft.
• Minimum 3,200 hours total flight time.
• Minimum 1,700 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
• Minimum 2,000 hours multi-engine time.
• Minimum 1,450 hours multi-engine PIC time.
• Minimum 200 hours jet time.
• Preference will be given to candidates with time on type.
• Excellent customer service ability.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adherence to Sunwest's Safety Management System manual.
• Willingness to undergo personality profiling if granted an interview.
