This full-time position presents a unique opportunity for low-time pilots to gain valuable experience with a reputable aviation company while working towards a future flying position.

About the Role:

As an integral part of the Summit Air team, the Flight Follower plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the company's diverse fleet of passenger and cargo aircraft. This position offers valuable exposure to all aspects of flight operations and provides a solid foundation for a rewarding career in aviation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily scheduling and dispatching of all aircraft.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and Transport Canada regulations.
• Verify flight plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain meticulous flight logs and other essential reports.
• Brief flight crews prior to departure, providing vital information for aviation safety.
• Maintain communication with crews, ensuring awareness of upcoming flight schedules.
• Make informed decisions regarding flight delays or cancellations as warranted.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Operational Control Centre Manager.

Qualifications:

• Possess a current commercial pilot license (IATRA preferred).
• Multi-IFR training is considered a significant asset.
• Prior experience in a dispatch or flight follower role is advantageous.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
• Exhibit proficiency in MS Office Suite and related computer programs.
• Possess the ability to work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Meet pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada and currently reside in Canada.
