Role Overview

The Avro RJ First Officer is a key member of the flight crew, primarily responsible for operating the RJ 85/100 aircraft safely and efficiently. The First Officer represents Summit Air professionally at all times and plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of operational safety.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operates RJ 85/100 aircraft safely and efficiently.
• Represents Summit Air with professionalism.
• Participates actively in aircraft pre-flight inspections and all post-flight duties.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Canadian ATPL or has written the IATRA exam.
• Possesses a minimum of 1000 hours total flight time.
• Includes a minimum of 500 hours multi-engine time.
• Ability to obtain a Canadian Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
• Holds a current Passport with the ability to travel to the United States and Europe.
• Previous jet experience is preferred but not considered essential.
• High Arctic experience is considered a valuable asset.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety culture.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing requirements is mandatory.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Candidates must be willing to relocate to Montreal, Quebec, or currently reside there.
