Summit Air | Captain

Summit Air, part of the Ledcor Group of Companies, is seeking an experienced Avro RJ Captain to be based in Montreal (Saint-Hubert, YHU), Canada. This role involves operating the Avro RJ aircraft as Pilot-in-Command, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of flights across Northern Canada to support a growing client base through passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized flight solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate the Avro RJ aircraft safely and efficiently as Pilot-in-Command across Northern Canada, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of flight information, including weather and NOTAMs.
• Verify Type A flight plans for accuracy.
• Participate in pre-flight inspections and post-flight duties.

Requirements

• Current Canadian ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence).
• Minimum of 4,000 hours of total flight time.
• Minimum of 2,500 hours of multi-pilot pilot-in-command time on aircraft exceeding 5,700 kg.
• 500 hours of jet aircraft experience (considered an asset).
• High Arctic experience (considered an asset).
• Glass cockpit experience (considered an asset).
• A valid passport with the ability to travel to the United States and Europe.
• Eligibility to obtain a Canadian Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
• Demonstrated commitment to a strong safety culture.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
