About the Role

Summit Air, a Ledcor Group company, is seeking an experienced Avro RJ Captain for its operations based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. This position offers direct entry for qualified candidates to serve as Pilot in Command, operating the Avro RJ aircraft for passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized flight solutions across northern and remote Canada. The role involves ensuring safe and efficient flight operations throughout Northern Canada.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Avro RJ aircraft safely and efficiently as Pilot in Command throughout Northern Canada.
• Maintain current awareness of all flight information, including weather conditions and applicable NOTAMs.
• Verify the accuracy of flight plans.
• Conduct pre-flight inspections and perform all post-flight duties.

Requirements

• Current Canadian ATPL.
• Minimum of 4,000 hours of total flight time.
• Minimum of 2,500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) time in aircraft greater than 5700 kg.
• Minimum of 2,500 hours of multi-engine flight time.
• Current passport with the ability to travel to the United States and Europe.
• Ability to obtain a Canadian Area Identity Card (RAIC).
• Strong commitment to a safety culture.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current Canadian ATPL is mandatory.
• 500 hours on a Jet aircraft is considered an asset.
• High Arctic experience is considered an asset.
• Glass cockpit experience is considered an asset.
