Essential Flight Experience and Qualifications
Critical Flight Hour Requirements:
- Fixed-Wing Flying Experience: Extensive prior hands-on experience operating fixed-wing aircraft is fundamental for operational readiness.
- Total Aeroplane Hours: A minimum of 1500 total flight hours on aeroplanes is required, demonstrating a solid foundation of proficiency and commitment to safety.
- Total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours: A minimum of 250 hours as Pilot-in-Command, evidencing the capability to assume full responsibility for an aircraft during flight.
- BE20 Type Specific Hours: Proven experience on the King Air BE20 aircraft is highly valued, requiring 100 total hours on type, with at least 20 hours as Pilot-in-Command on the BE20.
- Total PIC Instrument Flight Hours: A minimum of 75 hours as Pilot-in-Command under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), demonstrating robust capability to operate safely and confidently in varying weather and operational conditions.
Mandatory Certifications and Ratings:
- A valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with an Instrument Flight (IF) Rating is essential.
- Possession of a valid Aviation Medical Certificate is required.
- Current certifications in Dangerous Goods and Crew Resource Management (CRM) are mandatory.
- BE20 Type Rating is essential, with a B190 rating being a preferred additional qualification.
