Critical Experience and Flight Hour Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate the following minimum flight experience requirements to be considered for this demanding Co-Pilot position:
- Fixed Wing Flying Experience: Prior practical experience operating fixed-wing aircraft is mandatory to ensure immediate operational readiness upon deployment.
- Total Aeroplane Hours: A minimum of 1,500 total flight hours is required, demonstrating a solid foundation in flight proficiency and safety protocols.
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours: The candidate must possess at least 250 total hours logged as Pilot-in-Command, confirming the capacity to assume full responsibility for aircraft operations during flight.
- BE20 Specific Experience (King Air): Essential experience operating the King Air BE20 type is required, totaling 100 hours on type, including a verifiable minimum of 20 hours as Pilot-in-Command on the BE20.
- Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) Proficiency: A verifiable minimum of 75 PIC Instrument Flight Hours is necessary, proving the ability to operate confidently and safely under instrument flight rules (IFR) in varying meteorological conditions.
Essential Qualifications and Certifications
The following qualifications must be current and valid at the time of application:
- Valid Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) coupled with a valid Instrument Flight (IF) Rating.
- Current and Valid Aviation Medical Certificate (Class 1 or 2).
- Current certification in Dangerous Goods Handling and Crew Resource Management (CRM).
- Mandatory Type Rating on the BE20 (King Air).
- A Type Rating on the B190 (Beechcraft 1900) is highly advantageous.
