This pivotal role offers more than just flight duties; it presents an opportunity to lead critical operations where each flight contributes significantly to mission success.
Key Requirements for King Air BE20 Captain
Prospective candidates must demonstrate the following extensive flight experience:
- Fixed-Wing Flying Experience: Proven, hands-on experience operating fixed-wing aircraft is essential for mission readiness and ensuring the highest safety standards.
- Total Aeroplane Hours: A minimum of 3,000 total aeroplane hours, showcasing a robust foundation of flight time and operational exposure.
- Total Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Hours: At least 1,000 hours as PIC, indicating significant command experience and full responsibility for aircraft and crew operations.
- Night PIC Hours: A minimum of 100 PIC hours during night conditions, demonstrating proficiency and confidence in low-visibility environments.
- BE20 Hours / PIC on BE20: Substantial experience on the King Air BE20, including at least 50 hours as PIC, confirming advanced proficiency and type familiarity.
- Multi-Crew PIC Hours: A minimum of 500 PIC hours in multi-crew operations, highlighting the ability to lead and operate effectively within a team cockpit.
- Total PIC Instrument Flight Hours: At least 75 PIC hours under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), confirming capability to command aircraft in diverse weather and controlled airspace.
Qualifications and Position Necessities

- Valid SACAA ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License)
