Opportunities & Training
Selected candidates will receive comprehensive training at SriLankan Airlines’ Approved Training Organization (ATO), signifying a substantial investment in their professional development. The associated training costs will be recovered through salary deductions over a pre-agreed period. During this tenure, successful candidates will be bonded to the organization, acknowledging the significant commitment made by the airline to their advancement.
Essential Requirements
Pilot Qualifications:
- Possession of a current Sri Lankan Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating, along with a valid ATPL knowledge endorsement issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
- Possession of a Multi-Engine Rating.
- A valid Sri Lankan Commercial Pilot License must be held by the applicant no later than 31st August 2025.
- Possession of a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
Academic Qualifications:
- Six passes at the GCE O/L examination, including four Credit passes in English, Mathematics, and Physics or Science, obtained in one sitting. Additionally, a minimum of two passes at the GCE A/L examination in one sitting, excluding General English. Candidates must provide certification for these qualifications issued by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka.
- OR
- A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university, certified by the University Grants Commission, Sri Lanka, will be accepted.
- All international examinations equivalent to the aforementioned GCE qualifications must be certified by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka.
General Eligibility:
- Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens.
- Age should not exceed 40 years as at 31st August 2025.
- Proficiency in information technology and fluency in English are essential.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster and maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Following online submission, applicants are required to email the following documents as a single file to the designated address by 31st August 2025. The email subject line must clearly indicate “Application reference number - Cadet Pilot.”
