Program Overview

The Spirit Wings & Spirit Direct Pilot Pathway programs provide pilots enrolled at select partner flight schools or university programs with a direct pathway to the flight deck as a First Officer with Spirit Airlines.

University Requirements:

Selected candidates are required to successfully complete all program requirements and meet the FAA requirements for an Unrestricted ATP or Restricted ATP (if enrolled in the university program). This phase culminates in a final program review. All cadets must attend ATP/CTP training and a Spirit Specific A320 Jet Transition course before being assigned a new hire class date. Upon availability of a new hire class date, cadets undergo pre-employment testing and background checks prior to formally joining a Spirit Airlines new hire pilot class.
