Sounds Air, a regional airline operating in New Zealand, is seeking qualified Line Pilots for its Cessna 208 Caravan fleet. This position offers the opportunity to fly single-pilot under VFR and IFR on scheduled regional services, based in either Wellington or Blenheim.
About the Role
The Line Pilot will operate the Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft single-pilot under both Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). Responsibilities include conducting scheduled regional passenger services across Cook Strait and the broader Sounds Air network. Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive, tailored line training, typically ranging from 50 to 80 hours, culminating in a single-pilot check-to-line qualification. Maintaining high standards of customer service aligned with the company's G.U.E.S.T principles is also a key aspect of the role.
Requirements
- Minimum 1,200 hours total flight time.
- Minimum 75 hours of instrument flight time.
- Minimum 50 hours of night flight time.
- Consideration may be given to applicants who are up to 15 hours short of the instrument and night flight minimums, as these can typically be acquired during line training.
- Willingness to be based in Wellington or Blenheim, New Zealand.
