Gulfstream G550 Flight Attendant - South Florida
Solairus Aviation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Flight Attendant to join a full-time position based in the South Florida region. Responsibilities:
- Provide unparalleled customer service, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight.
- Explain the proper use of safety equipment and attend to passengers' needs, including serving food and beverages.
- Offer direction and assistance to passengers in the event of an emergency.
- Inspect and verify the functionality of all emergency equipment, including first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and oxygen bottles.
- Secure the cabin in accordance with federal regulations before take-off and landing.
- Administer basic first aid to passengers in distress, demonstrating proficiency in CPR, AED, and First Aid procedures.
- Reassure passengers during potentially unsettling events such as turbulence.
- Greet passengers and assist with personal belongings.
- Provide support to passengers entering and disembarking the aircraft, recognizing and attending to the needs of small children, elderly individuals, and passengers with disabilities.
- Deliver preflight briefings.
- Ensure the availability of adequate supplies for the flight, including food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, and emergency equipment.
- Facilitate and manage passenger requests for food and drinks.
- Procure any and all items specially requested by passengers for their flight.
- Prepare and cook food for passengers and crew.
- Conduct thorough inspections, cleaning, and restocking of the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each leg.
- Guarantee the aircraft is always prepared for flight, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies.
- Complete preflight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork.
- Regularly patrol the cabin to ensure passenger comfort and maintain cabin cleanliness.
- Operate audio and video systems effectively.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Possession of a valid First Aid Training Certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Flight attendant specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or a similar reputable organization is preferred. Annual recurrent training is required. Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on exceptional qualifications but must attend initial flight attendant training before flight assignment. Preference is given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the past 12 months.

- Availability to fly on short notice (2-3 hour response time if on standby).
- Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide (consider health and visa status).
- Ability to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
- Expertise in operating all features of the Cabin Management Systems.
- Proficient in the operation of all galley equipment.
- Competency in operating all cabin features, including berthing seats and configuring the divan into a bed.
Specific Qualifications/Certifications:
- Vision: Vision must be correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses (uncorrected no worse than 20/20). Must be able to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and use a computer, smartphone, and/or iPad device.
- Hearing/Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly. Must be able to hear well enough to communicate over the phone and in person with clients and co-workers/pilots when the aircraft is in flight.
- Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable and strong enough to walk and stand without assistance. Must be able to stand for up to 14 hours with limited ability to sit and be able to work long hours in various climates.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be able to kneel in luggage compartments, load supplies and luggage, and maneuver in tight confinements within the aircraft.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must be able to push open/pull closed the main cabin door, which weighs up to 130 pounds. Must also be able to write, type, use a computer and phone, as well as prepare/cook and serve guest food and beverages. Must be able to lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds, from floor level to waist high repeatedly.
Additional Information:
Salary range for this position varies based on factors such as geographic area, experience, equipment type/aircraft, job duties, training, and the assigned account. Solairus crewmembers are paid between $50,000 and $500,000.
