Solairus Aviation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-Time Flight Attendant to join a dynamic operation based in South Florida. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional service and a passion for exceeding passenger expectations.

Overview

This position offers a unique opportunity to provide personalized service, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers aboard a Gulfstream G550 aircraft. The Flight Attendant will be responsible for greeting passengers, demonstrating safety procedures, serving culinary delights, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable flight experience.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Deliver a superior level of service to discerning clients while prioritizing passenger safety and comfort during flight.
  • Explain the proper use of safety equipment, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Provide attentive and professional food and beverage service.
  • Direct and assist passengers in emergency situations.
  • Verify that first aid kits and other emergency equipment are in proper working order.
  • Secure the cabin prior to takeoff and landing, following all federal regulations.
  • Administer basic first aid to passengers in need, including CPR, AED, and general first aid.
  • Offer reassurance to passengers during situations such as turbulence.
  • Greet passengers warmly and assist with their personal belongings.
  • Provide assistance to passengers during boarding and disembarkation, identifying any special needs of children, seniors, or passengers with disabilities.
  • Conduct pre-flight briefings, ensuring a clear and concise explanation of safety procedures.
  • Verify that all necessary supplies, including food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other amenities, are readily available for the flight and passenger count.
  • Facilitate and manage passenger requests for food and beverages.
  • Source any specific items requested by passengers for their flight.
  • Prepare and present food for passengers and crew, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inspect, clean, and stock the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight segment.
  • Ensure the aircraft is consistently prepared for flight, meticulously cleaned and stocked.
  • Complete pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct periodic walkthroughs of the cabin to guarantee passenger comfort and maintain cabin cleanliness.
  • Operate audio and video systems flawlessly.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Possess a valid First Aid Training Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
  • Flight attendant specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar programs is preferred. Annual recurrent training is mandatory. Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on their qualifications but must complete initial flight attendant training before flight assignment. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the past 12 months.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • A meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong technological proficiency.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and patience.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages is a significant advantage.
  • Culinary skills and culinary-specific training are essential.
  • Ability to adapt to a consistently changing schedule and late-night flights.
  • Experience working with small children is preferred.
  • Availability for short-notice flights, responding within 2-3 hours when on standby.
  • Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide, considering health and visa status.
  • Willingness to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
  • Proficiency in operating all features of the Cabin Management Systems.
  • Expertise in operating all galley equipment.
  • Skill in operating all cabin features, including berthing seats and configuring the divan into a bed.

Specific Qualifications/Certifications:

  • Vision: Correctable vision to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses (uncorrected no worse than 20/20). Must be able to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and use a computer, smartphone, and/or iPad device.
  • Hearing/Speaking: Must be able to speak clearly and intelligibly. Must have excellent hearing capabilities to communicate effectively over the phone and in person with clients, co-workers, and pilots during flight.
  • Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable and strong enough to walk and stand without assistance. Must be able to stand for up to 14 hours with limited ability to sit and be able to work long hours in various climates.
  • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be able to kneel in the luggage compartment, load trip supplies and luggage, and maneuver in tight spaces within the aircraft.
  • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must be able to push open/pull closed the main cabin door (weighing up to 130 pounds), write, type, use a computer and phone, prepare/cook, and serve guest food and beverages. Must be able to lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist high repeatedly.

Solairus Aviation compensates its crew members based on a competitive salary structure, ranging from $50,000 to $500,000, taking into account factors such as geographic location, experience, equipment type/aircraft, job duties, training, and the assigned account.
