Position Overview
Solairus Aviation is seeking a Full-Time Gulfstream G550 Captain. This role requires an individual committed to excellence and collaborative teamwork, contributing to the safe and expert execution of client travel needs while upholding Solairus Aviation's culture of safety, service, and integrity.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee the safe operation of the Gulfstream G550 aircraft.

Conduct flights safely and prudently, adhering to all applicable regulations and company policies. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft.
- Performing thorough pre-flight inspections as per the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Assessing weather conditions and facilities along the planned route and at destination and alternate airports.
- Ensuring flight operations comply with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Prioritizing the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
- Accurately completing all required trip paperwork according to established procedures.
Qualifications
- Total flight time: 3000 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) time: 1500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time: 1500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) PIC time: 500 hours
- Time in Turbo Jet aircraft: 500 hours
- Instrument flight time: 250 hours
Specific Qualifications and Certifications
- Type rating on Gulfstream G550 or a comparable aircraft.
- Valid First Class Medical certificate.
- Availability to work on an on-call basis.
- Annual completion of ICAO International Procedures training.
- Primary residence within a two-hour driving distance of New York Metro area airports, or willingness to relocate.
Compensation Information
Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $500,000, determined by factors including geographic area, experience, aircraft type, job duties, training, and assigned account. This range is based on market conditions compiled from various industry sources.
