Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Gulfstream G550 Captain is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. Key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring the safe operation of the Gulfstream G550 aircraft.
• Conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with, but not limited to the following items:
  • Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft to ensure airworthiness.
  • Performing a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Conducting a complete check of weather and facilities along the planned route of flight and at all intended airports, including alternate airports.
  • Ensuring all flight operations are conducted in accordance with the policies and procedures of Solairus Aviation and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensuring the paramount safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew throughout the flight.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork and documentation in line with current operational procedures.

Qualifications

Prospective candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:

• Total Time: 3,000 hours
• Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land PIC: 500 hours
• Turbine Jet Time: 500 hours
• Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

Additionally, applicants should possess:

• A current type rating on the Gulfstream G550 aircraft or a comparable large cabin jet.
• A valid First-Class FAA Medical Certificate.
• The ability to operate on an on-call basis, demonstrating flexibility for varying flight schedules.
• Willingness to complete annual ICAO International Procedures training.
• A primary residence within the South Florida area or a willingness to relocate to the region.

Compensation Information

Solairus Aviation offers a competitive salary range, typically spanning from $50,000 to $500,000 annually. Compensation is determined by a variety of factors, including geographic area, experience level, specific equipment type/aircraft, extent of job duties, required training, and the assigned account.
