Per Diem Flight Attendant
Solairus Aviation is seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to join their team as Per Diem Flight Attendants. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a leading private aviation services company, dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for aircraft owners and their guests.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
As a Per Diem Flight Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of passengers aboard private aircraft. Your responsibilities will include:
Safety and Service Excellence:
- Providing exceptional customer service while upholding the highest standards of safety and security throughout every flight.
- Thoroughly explaining the use of safety equipment to passengers.
- Remaining calm and effectively directing passengers in the unlikely event of an emergency.
- Proactively verifying that all emergency equipment, including first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and oxygen bottles, are in perfect working order.
- Securely preparing the cabin for takeoff and landing in strict adherence to all federal regulations.
- Confidently administering basic first aid to passengers, including CPR, AED operation, and addressing other medical needs.
- Reassuring passengers and providing support during situations such as turbulence.
Passenger Care and Comfort:
- Warmly greeting passengers and assisting them with their personal belongings.
- Providing attentive assistance to passengers during boarding and deplaning, with a special focus on the needs of young children, elderly individuals, and passengers with disabilities.
- Conducting comprehensive preflight briefings.
- Meticulously ensuring that an adequate supply of food, beverages, blankets, reading material, and other amenities are on board for the comfort of all passengers and crew.
- Efficiently managing passenger requests for food and drinks.
- Going the extra mile to shop for any special items requested by passengers for their flight.
- Expertly preparing and serving meals for passengers and crew.
Aircraft Presentation and Maintenance:
- Maintaining an impeccably clean and well-stocked cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight segment.
- Ensuring the aircraft is always in pristine condition and fully prepared for the next flight.
- Diligently completing all preflight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork.
- Regularly monitoring the cabin throughout the flight to ensure passenger comfort and maintain a pristine environment.
- Proficiently operating audio and video systems.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need:
Aviation Expertise:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Current First Aid Training Certification.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Completion of specialized flight attendant training from a reputable institution such as FlightSafety or FACTS (preferred). Candidates without formal training may be considered but must attend an approved course before flight assignment.
- Up-to-date annual recurrent training as required.
Exceptional Skills and Attributes:
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Proficiency with technology, including computers, smartphones, and tablets.
- Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude.
- The ability to speak one or more foreign languages fluently (a plus).
- Demonstrated culinary skills and experience, including the ability to prepare healthy meals using onboard galley equipment, adapt recipes to accommodate allergies and special diets, and provide high-quality culinary service.
Schedule Adaptability and Availability:
- The ability to manage a constantly changing schedule, including late-night flights, and be available to fly on short notice (2-3 hour response time when on standby).
- Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide (taking into consideration health and visa requirements).
- Willingness to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient operation of all features of the Cabin Management Systems.
- Skilled operation of all galley equipment.
- Knowledge of all cabin features, including the ability to berth seats and configure the divan into a bed.
Physical Requirements:
This demanding role requires:
- Vision: Correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses.
- Hearing/Speaking: Clear speaking voice and ability to communicate effectively in a noisy environment.
- Standing/Walking: Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 14 hours with limited seating, and work long hours in various climates.
- Mobility: Ability to kneel, bend, maneuver in tight spaces, and lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly.
