Job Summary
Solairus Aviation is actively seeking an experienced and highly skilled Full-Time Global 6000 Corporate Flight Attendant to join a distinguished operation based in Southern California. This pivotal role involves delivering unparalleled personal service to ensure the utmost safety and comfort of passengers during private flights. The ideal candidate will be a flexible and proactive team player, prepared to embrace additional responsibilities to consistently provide superior, round-the-clock service. A profound passion for culinary arts and proven culinary experience are essential, with advanced culinary training being strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
The Corporate Flight Attendant will be responsible for a comprehensive range of duties, including:
- Providing an exceptional level of service to clients, prioritizing the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout flights.
- Directing and assisting passengers effectively during emergency situations.
- Administering basic first aid, including CPR and AED, to passengers requiring medical attention.
- Ensuring cabin security and compliance with federal regulations prior to take-off and landing.
- Reassuring passengers during periods of turbulence or other unsettling flight conditions.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight briefings.
- Verifying the adequacy and availability of food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other supplies for each trip and passenger count.
- Procuring specific items requested by passengers for their flight.
- Meticulously inspecting, cleaning, and stocking the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight segment, ensuring the aircraft is always impeccably prepared for subsequent flights.
- Performing periodic cabin checks to maintain passenger comfort and cleanliness.
- Completing all necessary pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
- Operating onboard audio and video systems with proficiency.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Current First Aid Training Certification (e.g., CPR, AED).
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Proficiency in operating all features of Cabin Management Systems (CMS), galley equipment, and cabin features, including the configuration of berthing seats and divans into beds.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- A high degree of attention to detail.
- Must be technologically savvy.
- Possesses flexibility, patience, and the ability to manage a constantly changing schedule, including late-night flights.
- Available to fly on short notice (2-3 hour response time when on standby).
- Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide, considering health and visa status.
- Capable of deploying for up to sixteen (16) consecutive days.
- Proven culinary skills with specific culinary training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Flight attendant-specific training from recognized institutions such as FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar; annual recurrent training is required.
- Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on other qualifications but must complete initial flight attendant training before flight assignment.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the past twelve (12) months.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
- Experience caring for small children is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This role demands robust physical capabilities in a dynamic aviation environment. The Flight Attendant must meet the following specific requirements:
- Vision: Correctable to 20/20 or better (with glasses or contacts); uncorrected vision no worse than 20/20. Must be able to read reports, charts, manage paperwork, and utilize electronic devices (computer, smartphone, iPad).
- Hearing/Speaking: Clear speech and adequate hearing for effective communication with clients, co-workers, and pilots, including during flight operations.
- Standing/Walking: Capable of walking and standing without assistance, including standing for up to fourteen (14) hours with limited ability to sit. Must be able to work extended hours across various climates.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Ability to kneel in luggage compartments to load supplies, and maneuver efficiently within confined aircraft spaces.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must be able to push/pull the main cabin door (weighing up to 130 pounds). Required to write, type, operate computers and phones, and prepare/cook/serve food and beverages. Must repeatedly lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist height.
Compensation
Solairus Aviation offers a competitive salary range for its crewmembers, from $50,000 to $500,000 annually. Compensation is determined based on market conditions, geographic area, experience level, equipment type/aircraft, specific job duties, training, and the assigned account.
