Role Overview

Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated, high-performing Global 6000 Captain to join our operation based at KSJC airport. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence, integrity, and safety while providing exceptional service to our clients. As a member of our flight operations team, you will uphold the Solairus culture of operational safety and efficiency.

Essential Responsibilities

The Global 6000 Captain is responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the aircraft, ensuring compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations and Solairus Aviation policies. Key duties include:

  • Maintaining the safety of all passengers, crew, and the aircraft.
  • Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Reviewing aircraft maintenance status.
  • Performing comprehensive checks of weather, route facilities, and destination/alternate airports.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all trip-related paperwork.

Candidate Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following flight time requirements:

  • Total Time: 3,000 hours
  • Pilot in Command (PIC): 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land PIC: 500 hours
  • Turbo Jet Time: 500 hours
  • Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Certifications and Requirements

  • Valid First Class Medical certificate.
  • Availability for on-call flight operations.
  • Must maintain annual ICAO International Procedures training.
  • Type rating on Global 6000 or comparable aircraft is preferred but not required; Global experience is highly valued and differences training will be provided.
  • Primary residence must be within a 5-hour drive of KSJC, or the candidate must be willing to relocate.

Compensation and Benefits

Solairus Aviation offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $500,000, determined by factors including geographic area, experience, equipment type, job duties, training, and the specific assigned account.
