Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Global 5000 Captain holds paramount responsibility for the safe, prudent, and efficient operation of the Global 5000 aircraft. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Ensuring the safe operation of the Global 5000 aircraft in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
• Conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner, meticulously adhering to operational guidelines.
• Performing comprehensive reviews of the aircraft's maintenance status to ensure airworthiness.
• Executing a proper pre-flight inspection in strict accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Conducting a complete and thorough check of weather conditions and available facilities along the planned route, including all primary and alternate airports.
• Ensuring all flight operations strictly comply with the policies and procedures of Solairus Aviation and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Prioritizing and ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew throughout every flight.
• Completing all required trip paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with current operational procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum flight experience requirements:

• Total Time: 3000 hours
• Pilot in Command (PIC): 1500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land Pilot in Command (MEL PIC): 500 hours
• Time in Turbo Jet: 500 hours
• Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Certifications and Requirements

• Must possess a current Type Rating on a Global 5000 or a comparable aircraft.
• A current First-Class Medical Certificate is required.
• The ability to work on an on-call basis is essential for this role.
• Completion of annual ICAO International procedures training is mandatory.
• Primary residence must be within a two-hour drive of South Florida, or candidates must be willing to relocate to the area.

Compensation and Additional Information

Solairus Aviation collects salary range information based on market conditions from multiple industry sources. Solairus crewmembers are compensated competitively, with a typical salary range of $50,000 to $500,000. Actual compensation is determined by various factors including geographic area, individual experience, specific equipment type/aircraft, assigned job duties, required training, and the designated account.
