Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Flight Attendant for a Global 8000 aircraft operation based in Van Nuys, California. This role encompasses delivering premium passenger service, preparing culinary offerings, managing the cabin environment, and upholding comprehensive onboard safety standards.

About the Role

The Global 8000 Flight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout each flight. Key duties include greeting passengers, conducting preflight briefings, demonstrating safety equipment, assisting passengers during emergencies, administering basic first aid (including CPR and AED), securing the cabin, and managing onboard supplies. The role also involves shopping for requested passenger items, operating aircraft systems, maintaining the cleanliness and stocking of the cabin and galley, conducting cabin checks, and completing all necessary flight paperwork to ensure the aircraft remains flight-ready.

Requirements

• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge.
• First Aid Training Certification (CPR/AED).
• At least five years of Corporate Flight Attendant experience.
• Strong culinary skills and culinary-specific training.
• Technologically capable, flexible, patient, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage changing schedules and late-night flights.
• Availability to respond within two to three hours when on standby.
• Ability to travel worldwide without restriction.
• Capacity to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
• Proficiency in operating cabin management systems, galley equipment, cabin features, and seating configurations.
• Vision correctable to 20/20 or better.
• Ability to communicate clearly and hear adequately in flight.
• Physical ability to stand for up to 14 hours with limited sitting.
• Capacity to work in varied climates and maneuver in confined aircraft spaces.
• Physical ability to push or pull a main cabin door weighing up to 130 pounds.
• Physical ability to repeatedly lift approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist height.

Qualifications

• Annual recurrent training is required.
• Flight attendant-specific training from FlightSafety, FACTS, or a similar provider is preferred, especially if completed within the past 12 months. Candidates without formal training may be considered if they agree to complete initial flight attendant training prior to assignment.
• A college degree is preferred.
• Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
• Experience with small children is preferred.
