Corporate Flight Attendant - Onboarding for Per Diem Trips
Please note: This job description is primarily used for onboarding flight attendants who have been contacted by Solairus to complete a per diem trip.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties
The Corporate Flight Attendant is responsible for providing an exceptional level of service to clients while ensuring the safety and comfort of each passenger during flight. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing comprehensive safety briefings and demonstrating the use of emergency equipment.
- Serving food and beverages to passengers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Directing and assisting passengers during emergency situations.
- Verifying that all safety and emergency equipment, including first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and oxygen bottles, are in working order.
- Securing the cabin in accordance with federal regulations before takeoff and landing.
- Administering basic first aid to passengers as needed, including CPR, AED operation, and utilizing the Tempus system.
- Providing reassurance and support to passengers during situations like turbulence.
- Assisting passengers with boarding and deplaning, including handling personal belongings and identifying those requiring special assistance.
- Performing pre-flight checks to ensure adequate supplies of food, beverages, reading materials, and other amenities are onboard.
- Managing and fulfilling passenger requests for food, beverages, and other in-flight needs.
- Procuring special items requested by passengers for their flight.
- Preparing and presenting meals for passengers and crew using onboard galley equipment, adapting to accommodate allergies and dietary requirements.
- Maintaining impeccable cabin cleanliness, including galley, lavatories, and flight deck, after each flight segment.
- Completing all required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
- Operating cabin entertainment systems.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Current First Aid Training Certification.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- FlightSafety, FACTS, or similar flight attendant training preferred; annual recurrent training required. Candidates without formal training may be considered but must attend a training course before flight assignments. Preference given to individuals with training completed within the past 12 months.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is highly advantageous.
- Proven culinary skills and experience preparing healthy meals using onboard galley equipment; ability to cater to allergies and special diets.
- Ability to manage a dynamic schedule, including late-night flights.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Availability to fly on short notice, potentially with a 2-3 hour response time if on standby.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally, considering health and visa requirements.
- Willingness to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
- Proficiency in operating all cabin management systems, galley equipment, and cabin features, including berthing seats and configuring divans into beds.
Specific Qualifications/Certifications: Physical Requirements
- Vision: Correctable to 20/20 or better; able to read reports and charts, manage paperwork, and utilize electronic devices.
- Hearing/Speaking: Clear communication abilities; capable of effective communication in a noisy aircraft environment.
- Standing/Walking: Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 14 hours with limited seating; able to work long hours in varying climates.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Ability to maneuver comfortably in confined aircraft spaces, including luggage compartments.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Sufficient strength and dexterity to operate the main cabin door (up to 130 lbs), write, type, use electronic devices, prepare and serve food and beverages, and lift supplies weighing 25-30 lbs repeatedly.
Additional Information
Solairus determines salary ranges based on comprehensive market data and industry standards. Compensation for crew members can range from $50,000 to $500,000 annually, contingent on factors such as geographic location, experience level, aircraft type, job responsibilities, training, and account assignment.
