Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream GV Captain for an operation based at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (KAUS) in Austin, Texas. The Captain will ensure the safe and prudent operation of the Gulfstream GV aircraft, support client travel requirements, and adhere to all company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations while upholding Solairus's commitment to safety, service, and integrity.
About the Role
The Gulfstream GV Captain is directly responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and all flight activities. Key responsibilities include meticulous review of aircraft maintenance status, thorough pre-flight inspections as per the Aircraft Flight Manual, comprehensive evaluation of weather, route conditions, and airport facilities, and ensuring strict adherence to Solairus Aviation policies and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. The Captain will prioritize the safety of passengers, crew, and the aircraft, and will accurately complete all required trip documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Minimum 1,500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- Minimum 1,500 hours of multi-engine land time.
- Minimum 500 hours of multi-engine land PIC time.
- Minimum 500 hours of turbojet time.
- Minimum 250 hours of instrument time.
- A type rating on the Gulfstream GV or a comparable aircraft.
- A current first-class medical certificate.
- Availability to work on an on-call basis.
- Annual completion of ICAO international procedures training.
- Must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KAUS or be willing to relocate.
