Solairus Aviation seeks a full-time Gulfstream GV Captain for its operation based in Van Nuys, California (KVNY). The Captain will ensure safe, compliant, and professional flight operations, prioritizing passenger and crew safety, aircraft readiness, flight planning, documentation, and adherence to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Solairus policies.
About the Role
The Captain is accountable for the safe operation of the Gulfstream GV aircraft, conducting all flights prudently. Key responsibilities include reviewing aircraft maintenance status, performing pre-flight inspections, assessing weather and route information, operating in strict accordance with company policies and regulations, ensuring the safety of all aboard, and meticulously completing all required trip paperwork.
Requirements
- Minimum 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Minimum 1,500 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- Minimum 1,500 hours of Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time.
- Minimum 500 hours of MEL PIC time.
- Minimum 500 hours of turbojet time.
- Minimum 250 hours of instrument time.
- Possession of a Gulfstream GV type rating or a rating on a comparable aircraft.
- Valid first-class medical certificate.
- Availability to work on an on-call basis.
- Ability to complete annual ICAO International procedures training.
- Must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KVNY or be willing to relocate.
