Solairus Aviation seeks a full-time Second-in-Command (SIC) for a Cessna Citation XLS+ operation based at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (KAUS) in Austin, Texas. This role supports a dedicated business/corporate flying client account and requires a pilot committed to safety, service, and integrity. The position operates on an on-call basis, necessitating a two-hour proximity to KAUS or a willingness to relocate.

About the Role

The Second-in-Command is integral to the safe operation of the Citation XLS+. Responsibilities include ensuring each flight is conducted safely and prudently, reviewing aircraft maintenance status, performing pre-flight inspections per the Aircraft Flight Manual, and thoroughly assessing weather and facilities for the planned route and alternates. The pilot must adhere to Solairus Aviation's policies, Federal Aviation Regulations, safeguard passengers, crew, and the aircraft, and complete all trip paperwork accurately.

Requirements

• Minimum 1,000 hours total flight time.
• Minimum 500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
• Minimum 500 hours multi-engine land (MEL).
• Minimum 100 hours multi-engine land PIC.
• Minimum 100 hours in turbojet aircraft.
• Minimum 75 hours instrument time.
• Type rating on the Citation XLS+ or a comparable aircraft.
• Valid First Class medical certificate.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Completion of annual ICAO international procedures training.
• Must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KAUS (Austin, TX) or be willing to relocate.
