The Role
The selected First Officer will be an integral part of Smartwings' flight operations, primarily responsible for assisting the Captain in the safe, efficient, and timely operation of Boeing 737 aircraft. This role demands strict adherence to all regulatory requirements and company procedures, while consistently contributing to a professional, collaborative, and high-performing flight deck environment.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Flight Experience: A minimum of 500 hours total flying time specifically on the Boeing 737 type or on an aircraft within the same or a higher weight category.
- Type Rating: A current B737 Type Rating is mandatory and must not have expired more than one year prior to the application date.
- Recent Experience: Applicants must demonstrate recent flight experience with no break of more than 12 months in flight operations.
- Licensing: A valid EASA Frozen ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License), Instrument Rating (IR), and Multi-Engine (ME) rating are required.
- Medical Certification: Possession of a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate is essential.
- Language Proficiency: ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 or higher is required.
- Passport: Candidates must hold a valid and unrestricted EU passport.
- Health & Background:
- A clean criminal record and an incident-free flight history are paramount.
- Yellow fever vaccination is required.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required where permitted by applicable law.
