About the Role
The primary responsibility of a Flight Attendant at SkyWest is to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during flights. This involves diligently performing duties such as serving meals and beverages, assisting with baggage, making announcements, and providing leadership and assistance in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Flight Attendants are expected to maintain a positive work environment, adhere to safety regulations, and efficiently manage in-flight services. Prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks, and handle onboard sales.

Greet passengers, assist with carry-on baggage, and deliver announcements.

Provide effective leadership and assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations.

Calmly resolve passenger situations, including medical emergencies.

Inspect and operate aircraft cabin components, systems, and emergency equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Adhere to established procedures and performance standards without supervision.
Minimum Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalency is required.

Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book valid for at least 12 months following the application date, along with any necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills for providing safety information and writing reports.

Comfortable utilizing basic functions of electronic devices and PEDs for various flight and training duties.

Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and spend extended periods alone and without supervision.

Must be reliable and punctual.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile after successful completion of training.
Physical and Appearance Requirements

Height and weight must be within specified limits to allow for safe operation of the aircraft and movement within the cabin, with a height requirement between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes.

Physically capable of performing tasks including frequent walking, bending, reaching, opening emergency exits, closing aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), pushing beverage carts (up to 250 lbs), and lifting/storing items.

Corrected vision should not exceed 20/40.

Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Professional, neat, and clean overall appearance is required.

No extreme hairstyles or colors.

Specific guidelines apply to piercings and tattoos, with limitations on size, location, and visibility.
