About the Role
The primary responsibility of a Flight Attendant at SkyWest Airlines is to guarantee the safety and well-being of all passengers during flight. Key duties include:

Ensuring passenger safety and comfort onboard the aircraft.

Preparing, serving, and restocking in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks.

Greeting passengers, assisting with baggage, and making announcements.

Providing leadership and assistance during emergency and non-emergency situations.

Resolving passenger issues calmly, including medical emergencies.

Adhering to safety regulations by inspecting and operating aircraft cabin components and emergency equipment.

Following established procedures and performance standards independently.
Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Must possess a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book valid for at least 12 months from the application date, along with any necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills for providing safety information and writing reports.

Proficiency in using basic electronic devices and PEDs for in-flight systems and duties.

Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and spend extended periods alone and unsupervised.

Must be reliable and punctual.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile after completing training.
Physical and Appearance Requirements

Height must be between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes, enabling safe operation of aircraft and movement within the cabin.

Must be physically capable of frequent walking, bending, reaching, and opening/closing aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs).

Ability to push/pull beverage carts (up to 250 lbs) and lift/store items.

Corrected vision not exceeding 20/40.

Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Professional, neat, and clean overall appearance.

Restrictions on extreme hairstyles/colors and specific facial piercings.

Visible tattoos are permitted with limitations; non-compliant tattoos must be covered.

Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face mask/covering when required.
Compensation and Benefits

Guaranteed 76 flight hours per month as a reserve, with pay at $30.32 per flight hour.

Base compensation of $2,304.32 gross per month (based on the guarantee).

Per diem of $2.25 for every hour on duty away from the domicile.
