About the Role
The primary responsibility of a SkyWest Flight Attendant is to guarantee the safety and well-being of passengers during flight. This dynamic position involves delivering exceptional customer service, including serving meals and beverages, and managing various onboard situations. Flight Attendants are key ambassadors of the SkyWest brand, creating a positive and memorable travel experience for all passengers.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks, and conduct onboard sales.

Greet passengers, assist with baggage, and deliver onboard announcements.

Provide leadership and assistance during emergency and non-emergency situations.

Resolve passenger issues, including medical emergencies and disorderly conduct.

Inspect and operate aircraft cabin components, systems, and emergency equipment in compliance with safety regulations.

Adhere to established procedures and performance standards independently.
Requirements

Minimum age of 21 years.

High school diploma or equivalency.

Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book, valid for at least 12 months following the application date, along with necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills for providing safety information and detailed reporting.

Comfortable using basic functions of electronic devices and PEDs for in-flight systems and duties.

Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and spend extended periods alone and unsupervised.

Must be reliable and punctual.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile upon successful completion of training.
Physical and Other Requirements

Height and weight must permit safe operation of aircraft and movement within the cabin, with a height range of 5'0" to 6'0" without shoes.

Physically capable of frequent walking, bending, reaching, opening emergency exits, closing aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), pushing beverage carts (up to 250 lbs), and lifting items.

Corrected vision must not exceed 20/40.

Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHz.

Professional, neat, and clean overall appearance.

No extreme hair styles or colors.

Specific guidelines for piercings (single stud nose piercing 2mm or smaller, two piercings per ear, plugged gauges up to ½") and tattoos (visible tattoos permitted with limitations, must be covered if they do not fall within guidelines, offensive tattoos prohibited).

Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face mask/covering as required.
Compensation and Benefits

Guaranteed 76 flight hours per month as a reserve after initial training.

Starting pay of $30.32 per flight hour.

Per diem of $2.25 per hour while on duty away from domicile.
