About the Role
As a Flight Attendant with SkyWest Airlines, the primary responsibility is ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers onboard the aircraft. Key duties include:

Ensuring the safety and comfort of customers onboard the aircraft.

Contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Preparing, serving, and restocking in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks, as well as selling onboard food and beverages.

Greeting passengers, assisting with carry-on baggage stowage, and delivering onboard announcements.

Providing effective leadership and assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations.

Calmly resolving passenger situations, including disorderly conduct and medical emergencies.

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations by inspecting and operating aircraft cabin components, systems, and emergency equipment.

Adhering to established procedures and performance standards independently.
Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Possess a High school diploma or equivalency.

Must hold a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book valid for at least 12 months following the application date, along with any necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills are required for providing safety information and writing reports.

Comfortable utilizing basic functions of electronic devices and PEDs for operational duties.

Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and spend lengthy periods of time alone and without supervision.

Must be reliable and punctual.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile after successful completion of training.
Physical and Other Requirements

Height and weight must allow for safe operation of the aircraft and operation of emergency exits, with a height range of 5'0" to 6'0" without shoes.

Physically able to perform tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, reaching, opening emergency exits and aircraft doors (up to 45 pounds), pushing and pulling beverage carts (up to 250 pounds), and lifting items.

Corrected vision must not exceed 20/40.

Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Professional, neat, and clean appearance is required.

Limitations apply to hairstyles, colors, and piercings; specific guidelines are in place for visible tattoos.

Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face mask/covering as required.
