About the Role
The primary responsibility of a SkyWest Flight Attendant is to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers throughout their flight. Key duties include providing exceptional customer service, serving meals and beverages, preparing and restocking in-flight amenities, and managing passenger needs. Flight Attendants are also responsible for greeting passengers, assisting with baggage, delivering announcements, and providing leadership and assistance during both emergency and non-emergency situations. This role requires efficiently preparing and serving food and drinks, selling onboard items, and meticulously adhering to safety regulations by inspecting and operating aircraft cabin components and emergency equipment.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book valid for at least 12 months following the application date, along with any necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills for conveying safety information and writing detailed reports.

Comfortable using basic electronic devices and PEDs for in-flight systems and duties.

Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and spend extended periods alone and without supervision.

Reliability and punctuality are essential.

High school diploma or equivalency required.

Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40.

Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Physical ability to perform tasks including frequent walking, bending, reaching, opening emergency exits, closing aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), pushing beverage carts (up to 250 lbs), and lifting/transporting items.

Height must be between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes to ensure safe operation of aircraft equipment and movement within the cabin.

Professional, neat, and clean appearance with limitations on extreme hairstyles/colors, visible tattoos, and piercings.

Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face mask/covering as required.
Compensation and Benefits
New hire flight attendants are guaranteed 76 flight hours during reserve periods after successfully completing initial training, with compensation paid for the full guarantee regardless of hours flown. Starting pay is $30.32 per flight hour. Additional compensation includes per diem of $2.25 for every hour on duty away from the domicile.
