About the Role
As a Flight Attendant with SkyWest Airlines, the primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers while onboard aircraft. Key duties include:

Ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight.

Contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Preparing, serving, and restocking in-flight beverages and meals, and handling onboard sales.

Greeting passengers, assisting with baggage, and making announcements.

Providing leadership and assistance during emergency and non-emergency situations.

Calmly resolving passenger issues, including medical emergencies.

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and inspecting aircraft cabin components and emergency equipment.

Adhering to established procedures and performance standards without supervision.
Requirements

Minimum age of 21 years.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book valid for at least 12 months from the application date, along with necessary visas for travel to the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills for conveying safety information and writing reports.

Proficiency in using basic electronic devices and PEDs for in-flight systems and duties.

Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and spend extended periods alone.

Reliability and punctuality are essential.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile after successful completion of training.
Physical and Appearance Requirements

Height and weight must permit safe aircraft operation, including fitting into jump seats, moving through the cabin, and operating emergency exits. Height must be between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes.

Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items up to 45 pounds (emergency exits) and pushing/pulling carts up to 250 pounds.

Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40.

Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHz.

Professional, neat, and clean overall appearance.

No extreme hairstyles or colors.

Specific guidelines apply to piercings and visible tattoos, requiring coverage if necessary.
