About the Role

SkyWest Airlines, the largest independently owned regional airline, is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Flight Attendant at its various crew domiciles across the United States. Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers onboard the aircraft.
• Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
• Prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks, and conduct onboard sales.
• Greet passengers, assist with baggage, and deliver onboard announcements.
• Provide leadership and assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Calmly resolve passenger issues, including medical emergencies and disorderly conduct.
• Inspect and operate aircraft cabin components, systems, and emergency equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Adhere to established procedures and performance standards without supervision.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book valid for at least 12 months following the application date, along with any necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
• Excellent English communication skills for providing safety information and writing reports.
• Comfortable using basic electronic devices and PEDs for operational duties.
• Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel frequently and spend extended periods alone without supervision.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile after successful completion of training.

Physical and Appearance Standards

• Height between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes; weight must allow for safe operation of the aircraft and adherence to specific aircraft dimensions, including comfortably fitting in a jump seat with harness and operating emergency exits.
• Physically capable of tasks including frequent walking, bending, reaching, opening emergency exits, closing aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), pushing beverage carts (up to 250 lbs), and lifting/transporting items.
• Corrected vision should not exceed 20/40.
• Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHz.
• Professional, neat, and clean overall appearance.
• No extreme hair styles or colors permitted.
• Specific guidelines apply to piercings and tattoos, which may require covering or adherence to size/location limitations.
• Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face mask/covering as required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Guaranteed 76 flight hours as a reserve after completing initial training, paid at $30.32 per flight hour.
• Additional per diem of $2.25 for every hour on duty away from the domicile.
