About the Role
The primary responsibility of a SkyWest Flight Attendant is to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers while onboard the aircraft. This position involves providing excellent customer service, serving in-flight beverages and meals, and managing passenger needs. Flight Attendants will also be responsible for preparing the cabin, making announcements, and providing leadership and assistance in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Adherence to safety regulations and company procedures is paramount.

Minimum age of 21 years.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book valid for at least 12 months following the application date, along with any necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills for providing safety information and writing reports.

Comfortable using electronic devices and PEDs for in-flight systems, purchases, and training.

Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and spend extended periods alone and without supervision.

Must be reliable and punctual.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile upon successful completion of training.
Physical and Other Requirements

Height and weight must permit safe operation of the aircraft and allow for movement within the cabin, including fastening safety harnesses and operating emergency exits.

Specific height requirement: between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes.

Physically capable of frequent walking, bending, reaching, opening emergency exits, closing aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), pushing beverage carts (up to 250 lbs), and lifting items.

Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40.

Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Professional, neat, and clean overall appearance.

Restrictions on extreme hairstyles or colors.

Specific guidelines for piercings and visible tattoos; tattoos not meeting guidelines must be covered.

Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face mask/covering as required.
Compensation and Benefits

Guaranteed 76 flight hours per month as a reserve during the initial phase after training, with pay calculated based on 76 hours.

Starting pay of $30.32 per flight hour.

Per diem rate of $2.25 for every hour on duty away from the domicile.
