About the Role
The Flight Attendant's primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers while onboard SkyWest aircraft. This dynamic position involves serving passengers, managing in-flight services, and providing leadership and assistance during both emergency and non-emergency situations. Flight Attendants will also be responsible for maintaining cabin safety, adhering to regulations, and representing SkyWest's commitment to quality and professionalism.
Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalency.

Hold a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book valid for at least 12 months following the application date, along with any necessary visas for travel between the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Demonstrate excellent English communication skills for providing safety information and writing detailed reports.

Be comfortable using electronic devices and PEDs for in-flight systems, purchases, and training duties.

Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to travel frequently and spend extended periods alone and without supervision.

Must be reliable and punctual.

Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile upon successful completion of training.
Physical and Other Requirements

Height and weight must allow for safe aircraft operation, including fitting into the jump seat, fastening the harness, moving through the cabin, and operating emergency exits. Height must be between 5'0" and 6'0" without shoes.

Physically able to perform tasks such as frequent walking, bending, reaching, opening emergency exits, closing aircraft doors (up to 45 pounds), pushing beverage carts (up to 250 pounds), and lifting/storing items.

Corrected vision must not exceed 20/40.

Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Maintain a professional, neat, and clean appearance.

Restrictions apply to extreme hairstyles or colors, and certain piercings and tattoos.

Must wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face mask/covering as required.
Compensation and Benefits
New hire flight attendants are guaranteed 76 flight hours per month as a reserve, paid at $30.32 per flight hour, equating to a base monthly compensation of $2,304.32. Additionally, a per diem of $2.25 is paid for every hour on duty away from the domicile.
