About the Role

This Flight Attendant role prioritizes ensuring the highest safety standards for passengers and crew aboard our regional aircraft. Successful candidates will thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment, consistently maintaining operational safety and delivering superior customer service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of customers onboard the aircraft.
  • Contributing to a positive and productive work environment with employees and customers.
  • Efficiently preparing, serving, and restocking in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks; selling onboard liquor and food.
  • Greeting passengers, assisting with carry-on baggage stowage, and delivering onboard announcements.
  • Providing effective leadership, direction, and assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Calmly resolving passenger situations during flight, including disorderly passengers and medical emergencies.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations by inspecting and safely operating aircraft cabin components, systems, and emergency equipment (e.g., escape slides, fire extinguishers, portable oxygen bottles, AEDs).
  • Adhering to established procedures and performance standards without supervision.

Requirements

Successful candidates for the Flight Attendant position must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Current, valid U.S. or foreign passport book (valid for at least 12 months post-application), and all necessary visas for travel to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for safety information and detailed report writing.
  • Proficiency with basic functions of electronic devices and Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs) for in-flight systems and duties.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work independently for extended periods.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile after successful completion of SkyWest InFlight Training. Potential domiciles include:

  • Meet specific physical and appearance guidelines:
    • Height between 5’0” to 6’0” without shoes. Must allow safe operation of aircraft components including jump seat, harness, cabin movement, and emergency exit operation.
    • Physical ability for frequent walking, bending, reaching; opening emergency exits/closing aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs); pushing/pulling beverage carts (up to 250 lbs); and lifting/storing items.
    • Corrected vision not exceeding 20/40.
    • Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ.
    • Maintain a professional, neat, and clean overall appearance; no extreme hair styles or colors.
    • Piercings: Single stud nose (2mm or smaller), two per ear allowed. Gauges must be plugged (clear/skin-toned, max ½”). Other facial, mouth, or tongue piercings prohibited.
    • Visible tattoos allowed with dimension/location limitations; must be covered by uniform or skin-tone makeup if outside guidelines (bandages not approved). Offensive tattoos not visible.
    • Adherence to company issued uniform and compliant face mask/covering requirements.
