Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety, security, and comfort of passengers throughout all flight operations.
  • Provide professional customer service, including the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages, as well as the sale of onboard food and liquor.
  • Deliver safety briefings and announcements while assisting passengers with carry-on baggage.
  • Exercise effective leadership during emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Resolve passenger-related challenges, including medical emergencies and disorderly conduct, with composure.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance by operating and inspecting cabin equipment, such as emergency slides, fire extinguishers, oxygen bottles, and AEDs.
  • Consistently perform duties and adhere to operational standards independently and within a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. or foreign passport book, valid for at least 12 months from the application date, with necessary visas for travel between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
  • Excellent English communication skills, including the ability to write factual, detailed reports regarding security or emergency events.
  • Proficiency with electronic devices and Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) for operational and training tasks.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work flexible schedules, including shifts up to 16 hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work independently.
  • Must be willing to relocate to a designated crew domicile: Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Milwaukee, WI; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or Tucson, AZ.

Physical and Appearance Standards

  • Height must be between 5'0" and 6'0" (without shoes) to ensure safe operation of aircraft emergency exits and jump seats.
  • Physical capability to walk, bend, reach, lift up to 45 pounds, and push/pull beverage carts weighing up to 250 pounds.
  • Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40; hearing range within 15-17kHz.
  • Professional appearance required: no extreme hairstyles or colors.
  • Piercing limitations: Single stud nose piercing (2mm or smaller) and maximum two piercings per ear (gauges must be plugged with skin-tone/clear plugs).
  • Visible tattoos are permitted within specific dimension and location guidelines; otherwise, they must be covered by the uniform or skin-tone makeup.
  • Must be willing to wear a company-issued uniform and compliant face mask.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting pay is $30.32 per flight hour.
  • Guaranteed 76 flight hours per month for reserve status upon completion of training.
  • Per diem of $2.25 for every hour on duty away from the home domicile.
