Primary Job Duties

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers throughout all phases of flight.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and productive environment for passengers and crew.
  • Prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks; conduct onboard sales.
  • Greet passengers, assist with baggage stowage, and provide all necessary onboard announcements.
  • Provide decisive leadership and assistance during emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Manage and resolve passenger conflicts, including disorderly conduct or medical emergencies.
  • Conduct mandatory safety inspections of cabin components, emergency systems, and medical equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, AEDs, oxygen bottles, and escape slides).
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and performance standards with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. or foreign passport book (valid for at least 12 months post-application) and necessary visas for travel to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) for reporting and safety communication.
  • Proficiency with electronic devices and Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) for operational and training tasks.
  • Availability to work varied, long shifts (up to 16 hours), including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work independently.
  • Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
  • Willingness to relocate to an assigned crew domicile following successful completion of training. Locations include: Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Milwaukee, WI; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; and Tucson, AZ.

Physical and Professional Standards

  • Height requirement: 5'0" to 6'0" (without shoes).
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including: frequent walking, bending, reaching, opening emergency exits, closing aircraft doors (up to 45 lbs), and pushing/pulling beverage carts (up to 250 lbs).
  • Vision: Corrected vision must not exceed 20/40.
  • Hearing: Normal or corrected range within 15-17kHZ.
  • Appearance: Professional, neat, and clean appearance is required. Specific guidelines regarding hair, tattoos, and piercings apply; visible tattoos must be covered if they do not meet size or location standards. Must wear company-issued uniform and face coverings as required.

Compensation and Flight Hours

Following successful completion of Initial New Hire training, Flight Attendants are guaranteed 76 flight hours per month at a rate of $30.32 per hour. In addition to base pay, employees receive $2.25 per diem for every hour on duty away from their assigned domicile.
