Position Summary
The primary responsibility of a SkyWest Flight Attendant is to ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers. This dynamic role requires individuals who can thrive in a deadline-driven environment, manage emergency and non-emergency situations with composure, and provide exceptional customer service. Flight Attendants represent the SkyWest brand while traveling to diverse destinations.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers throughout all phases of flight.

Provide effective leadership and direction during emergency and non-emergency incidents.

Resolve passenger-related concerns, including medical emergencies and disorderly conduct, in a professional manner.

Perform safety inspections of cabin components, systems, and emergency equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, oxygen bottles, AEDs).

Efficiently manage in-flight service, including the preparation and sale of beverages, meals, and snacks.

Greet passengers, assist with baggage stowage, and deliver official onboard announcements.

Maintain a positive, productive work environment while adhering to all safety regulations and company performance standards.
Minimum Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Possession of a valid U.S. or foreign passport book, valid for at least 12 months from the application date, along with necessary visas for travel to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Excellent English communication skills, including the ability to write clear, factual reports regarding security or emergency events.

Proficiency in using electronic devices and personal electronic devices (PEDs) for operational and training tasks.

Ability to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Willingness to travel frequently and work independently.

Proven reliability and punctuality.

Must be willing to relocate to a company-assigned crew domicile, including Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or Tucson, AZ.
Physical and Appearance Standards

Height must be between 5’0” and 6’0” (without shoes) to ensure safe operation of aircraft and access to jump seats/emergency exits.

Physical ability to walk, bend, reach, open/close aircraft doors weighing up to 45 lbs, and push/pull beverage carts weighing up to 250 lbs.

Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40; hearing range within 15-17kHZ.

Professional appearance required: no extreme hair styles/colors, specific limitations on tattoos, and defined jewelry/piercing standards.

Must wear company-issued uniforms and compliant face coverings.
Compensation
-
Starting pay is $30.32 per flight hour, with a monthly guarantee of 76 flight hours.

Per diem provided at $2.25 per duty hour away from the domicile.
