Position Overview: Flight Attendant

Primary Job Duties

Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers throughout all phases of flight.
Contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
Prepare and serve in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks; manage onboard liquor and food sales.
Greet passengers, assist with baggage stowage, and deliver official onboard announcements.
Provide leadership and direction during emergency and non-emergency situations.
Resolve passenger conflicts and handle medical emergencies with composure.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations by inspecting and operating aircraft cabin equipment, including oxygen systems, AEDs, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits.
Execute established procedures and performance standards independently.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Possession of a current, valid U.S. or foreign passport (valid for at least 12 months) and necessary visas for travel to the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
Strong English communication skills, including the ability to provide safety instructions and author clear, factual reports regarding security and emergency events.
Proficiency with electronic devices (PEDs) for audio/video system operation, transaction processing, and flight/training duties.
Availability for varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to travel frequently and work autonomously.
Reliability and punctuality.
Willingness to relocate to a designated crew domicile upon successful completion of training. Current domiciles include: Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; and Tucson, AZ.

Physical and Operational Standards

Height must be between 5’0” and 6’0” (without shoes) to ensure safe operation of aircraft systems and emergency exits.
Must be physically capable of frequent walking, bending, reaching, and operating cabin equipment (doors up to 45 lbs; beverage carts up to 250 lbs).
Corrected vision must not exceed 20/40; hearing must be within normal or corrected range of 15-17kHZ.
Professional appearance required, adhering to specific grooming and uniform standards regarding hair, tattoos, and piercings.

Compensation and Training

Following successful completion of Initial New Hire training, Flight Attendants are guaranteed 76 flight hours per month. The starting rate is $30.32 per flight hour, totaling $2,304.32 gross monthly base pay, excluding per diem and additional hours. A per diem of $2.25 is provided for every hour on duty away from the home domicile.
