Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety, security, and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight.
  • Provide professional customer service, including the preparation and service of beverages, meals, and snacks.
  • Perform onboard sales of liquor and food items.
  • Deliver cabin announcements, assist with carry-on baggage stowage, and greet passengers.
  • Provide leadership during emergency and non-emergency situations, including managing medical incidents or disorderly passengers.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA safety regulations by inspecting and operating aircraft cabin equipment, such as emergency slides, fire extinguishers, oxygen bottles, and AEDs.
  • Maintain high performance standards and operational procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive work environment for both crew members and passengers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess a valid U.S. or foreign passport book with at least 12 months of validity remaining at the time of application, along with all necessary visas for travel to Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
  • Excellent English communication skills, including the ability to provide safety briefings and draft detailed, factual reports regarding security or emergency events.
  • Proficiency with electronic devices and personal electronic devices (PEDs) for operational and training purposes.
  • Ability to work varied shifts of up to 16 hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to travel frequently, often working independently.
  • Must be willing to relocate to an assigned crew domicile, which may include Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Boise, ID; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Fresno, CA; Houston, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or Tucson, AZ.

Physical Requirements and Appearance Standards

  • Height must be between 5'0" and 6'0" (without shoes) to ensure safe access to jump seats and emergency exits.
  • Physical capability to walk frequently, bend, reach above shoulder level, and lift/operate emergency doors weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to push/pull beverage carts weighing up to 250 pounds.
  • Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40; hearing range within 15-17kHZ.
  • Professional appearance: Neat, clean, and adhering to specific company guidelines regarding hair, tattoos, and piercings.
  • Must wear company-issued uniforms and compliant face coverings as required.

Compensation and Training

Upon successful completion of Initial New Hire training, Flight Attendants are guaranteed 76 flight hours per month at a rate of $30.32 per flight hour. Additional compensation includes $2.25 per diem for every hour spent on duty away from the home domicile.
