Position Overview: Flight Attendant

Primary Job Duties

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout flight operations.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive work environment for both colleagues and passengers.
  • Prepare, serve, and restock in-flight beverages, meals, and snacks; conduct onboard sales of liquor and food.
  • Greet passengers, assist with carry-on baggage stowage, and deliver clear onboard announcements.
  • Provide effective leadership and direction during emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Resolve passenger situations calmly and professionally, including medical emergencies and disorderly conduct.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by inspecting and operating cabin systems and emergency equipment (e.g., escape slides, fire extinguishers, oxygen bottles, AEDs).
  • Maintain high performance standards and adhere to established procedures without direct supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. or foreign passport (valid for at least 12 months) and necessary visas for travel between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills for safety reporting and passenger interaction.
  • Proficiency with electronic devices and Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) for system operation and in-flight tasks.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work independently.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to relocate to assigned crew domiciles (Atlanta, Austin, Boise, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Palm Springs, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, or Tucson).

Physical and Appearance Standards

  • Height must be between 5’0” and 6’0” (without shoes) to ensure safe aircraft operation and use of jump seats.
  • Physical ability to walk frequently, bend, reach, operate emergency exits/doors (up to 45 lbs), and maneuver beverage carts (up to 250 lbs).
  • Corrected vision not to exceed 20/40; hearing range within 15-17kHZ (normal or corrected).
  • Professional appearance: neat and clean, no extreme hairstyles/colors, adherence to piercing and tattoo policies (tattoos must be covered if non-compliant with guidelines).
  • Must wear company-issued uniform and compliant face coverings.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Starting Pay: $30.32 per flight hour.
  • Guarantee: 76 flight hours per month once training is successfully completed.
  • Per Diem: $2.25 per hour while on duty away from the assigned domicile.
